Clark Provins: California Shack, circa 1938. In a beautiful California landscape with some laundry on the line. Bucolic, with laundry on the line, it draws you inside. Oil on canvas, art is 19.5 x 23, in wood frame 16.5 x 31.5 w. Clark M. Provins was born in Idaho on May 23, 1909. By 1940 Provins had settled to Los Angeles. He worked for many years as a scenic artist for the movie studios. He died there on March 10, 1991. Exhibited: California Watercolor Society, 1948.
