Mid-Century Modern Brutalist “Staccato” Lacquer Nightstands by Lane

Details

This gorgeous pair of vintage Brutalist nightstands by Lane Furniture is part of the highly sought-after Staccato collection, celebrated for its bold geometric relief and architectural presence. Designed and crafted in the United States during the 1970s, these pieces exemplify the sculptural aesthetic that made the Staccato line one of Lane’s most sought-after designs. Each cabinet features a mosaic facade composed of dimensional oak blocks arranged in a rhythmic geometric pattern across the upper doors. The interplay of depth, shadow, and natural wood grain creates a captivating visual texture that reflects the Brutalist influence popular in mid-century design. Thoughtfully constructed, each nightstand includes two doors that open to reveal a spacious interior with a fixed shelf, providing practical storage for bedside essentials, books, or personal items. Their clean, cubic form is anchored by a pedestal base, giving the pieces a strong architectural silhouette that feels both substantial and refined. Our team of skilled craftsmen has professionally refinished the cabinets in a smooth white lacquer, creating a crisp contemporary contrast that beautifully highlights the sculptural oak mosaic detailing. Versatile and visually striking, these cabinets function effortlessly as nightstands, side tables, or accent pieces. With their distinctive Brutalist design, quality craftsmanship, and connection to Lane’s iconic Staccato collection, this pair offers both functional storage and a timeless statement for any well-curated interior.
