This remarkable piece is a tangible link to a bygone era. Originally an antique architectural element from India, likely dating to the late 19th or early 20th century, it served as a powerful, decorative support from a building or piece of furniture. The intricate, hand-carved motifs of stars, suns, and spirals are a beautiful, symbolic language etched in wood. The piece's solid, arch-like form has been given a vibrant new chapter, with the addition of a simple metal plate, transforming it into a one-of-a-kind candle holder. It is a testament to the idea that a story can always be given new purpose. This sculptural piece is a dramatic addition to any home. Use it as a striking centerpiece on a dining or coffee table to create a grounded and purposeful focal point.
