Some patterns are less about a single motif and more about density and rhythm, and that's exactly what's happening here. A dense, all-over scrolling floral pattern, the "millefleur" or thousand-flowers style, covers almost the entire globular body and trumpet neck in cobalt blue, broken only by narrow bands of stylized lappets and geometric key-fret detailing near the shoulder and rim. It's a decorative approach that rewards a slow look, the individual blossoms blur into texture from across a room but resolve into countless distinct small flowers up close. The base carries a hand-painted mark in a double-circle cartouche, The bottle form, a rounded body drawing up into a tall, flared neck, gives the piece real vertical presence, equally striking holding a loose arrangement of stems or standing on its own as a sculptural object. *Era: Vintage, *Origin: China, blue-and-white export porcelain tradition, millefleur (thousand flowers) pattern *Material: Porcelain with hand-painted cobalt blue underglaze decoration *Size: 7"(Diameter) x 11.5"(H) *Color: White ground densely covered in cobalt blue millefleur floral scrollwork, with geometric and lappet border bands; unglazed footring *Condition: Wear consistent with age & use, blemishes and imperfections will be present. A Chinese blue-and-white porcelain bottle vase densely decorated in the millefleur (thousand flowers) style, with a tall flared neck and a hand-painted mark on the base. Q&A What is the millefleur pattern, exactly? It's a dense, all-over scrolling floral design meant to cover nearly the entire surface with minimal background showing, a decorative approach valued for its intricacy and the sheer amount of hand-painted work it represents compared to a piece with a single isolated motif. **Please bear in mind that colors of products shown may vary slightly from their original color due to monitor display settings or photography studio
