Mid-Century Modern “Wave” Chaise Lounge Styled After Adrian Pearsall

Details

Mid-century modern chaise lounge inspired by the iconic designs of Adrian Pearsall and manufactured in the United States, circa 1960s. Defined by its sculptural silhouette and dramatic floating-wave profile, this striking lounge captures the bold creativity and organic forms that made American modern design of the era so distinctive. The chaise features a custom channel design composed of individually upholstered rolls, each carefully tailored to create a rhythmic sequence of curves that flow seamlessly from seat to backrest. The result is a visually dynamic form that appears to float above its upholstered base, showcasing exceptional attention to proportion, craftsmanship, and detail. Newly upholstered in an off-white fabric, the piece offers a soft, inviting surface that enhances its architectural presence and highlights the design's sculptural contours. Viewed from any angle, the chaise presents a captivating profile. The sweeping lines create a sense of movement, while the generous proportions provide exceptional comfort for lounging, reading, or simply relaxing. The neutral upholstery allows the silhouette to take center stage, emphasizing the design's artistry without overwhelming the surrounding interior. More than a functional seating piece, this chaise lounge serves as a sculptural focal point. Imagine its flowing form catching natural light throughout the day, the shadows accentuating each upholstered channel and revealing new dimensions from every perspective. It is a statement piece that embodies the glamour, innovation, and enduring appeal of mid-century modern design.
