Made in West Germany by the highly acclaimed pottery during its heyday in the 1970s, The straight-walled form features a narrow collar rim and two distinct glaze zones: a rough volcanic lava texture in near-black at the collar and base, and a flowing drip glaze in cream, amber, and warm brown across the midsection. Where the glazes meet, the drip finish bleeds organically into the porous lava surface, a result of the high-temperature firing process that made each piece unique.
