Vintage Burl Wood Dining Table by Milo Baughman for Thayer Coggin

Details

Prepare to fall in love with a dining table that defines what it means to be timeless. Designed by the legendary Milo Baughman and crafted by Thayer Coggin during the golden era of American modernism, this 1970s masterpiece isn't just furniture, it's a legacy piece that brings soul to your home. The star of the show? Exquisite Elm Burl wood, freshly refinished to showcase every mesmerizing swirl, every rich variation in tone. This isn't a surface you simply set dishes on; it's a living canvas that draws the eye and sparks conversation. The organic patterns shift and dance as you move around it, ensuring no two dining experiences feel quite the same. But beauty here doesn't sacrifice practicality. Baughman understood that great design must work as hard as it looks good. The ingenious two-leaf system transforms this table from an intimate 66-inch setting into a commanding 110-inch entertainer's dream. Each 22-inch leaf slides in effortlessly, expanding your possibilities without disrupting the table's elegant proportions. Hosting a dinner party? Extended. Quiet Tuesday night? Compact and cozy. The clean lines and refined silhouette speak to Baughman's modernist vision—no unnecessary embellishment, just pure, confident form. It's a design language that refuses to age, looking as fresh and relevant today as it did five decades ago. This is the table where memories are made, where ordinary meals become moments, where your home's story unfolds. Own a piece that doesn't just fill a room, it defines it.
