Mexican sterling silver Art Moderne water pitcher with a flat, stylized strap handle having an inwardly curved thumbpiece on a bulbous bellied body, c.1960. This striking pitcher is 6 1/4" tall, 6" in diameter, 7 5/8" spout to handle and it weighs a substantial 739 grams or 23.8 ozs. Troy. Marked Sterling Mexico and a partial maker′s mark SA (the Mexican version of Inc.), this special pitcher is definitely first quality. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
