Details: A small studio pottery dish by significant 20th Century ceramicist Otto Heino. This example features the buttery yellow glaze Heino perfected after his wife’s death, a continuation of her long-running project to reproduce a lost glaze recipe from Chin dynasty China. The piece has a bi-color design, yellow on one side and oyster gray on the other; the area where the glazes overlap is highlighted with a glossy black finish. Signed on the underside, “Otto ‘98.” Dimensions: 6.25” width x 1.5” height. Condition: Excellent vintage condition; no chips or cracks.
