Dutch 2nd Standard (.835) silver rectangle form dresser tray, having 4 ball feet. It is decorated with repousse scenic depiction as well as shell & scroll patterns and floral garlands. Border has cutwork edge. Maker's mark "MdP", Assay Office mark for Schoonhoven, c. 1890. Tray was designated for export. This gorgeous tray is 6" long, 4" wide, 5/8" tall and weighs 89.6 grams or 2.89 ozs Troy. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
