Modernist Maitland Smith Twisted Tessellated Marble Coffee Table with Glass Top Maitland Smith / United Kingdom Modernist coffee table by Maitland Smith featuring a sculptural base of undulating S-curve columns clad in tessellated marble in cream and warm beige tones. Maitland Smith became a go-to source for the kind of elaborate hand-worked stone, bone, and resin furniture popular in American interior design around the 1980s. The 1/2" curved corner, flat polished, glass sits atop and contrasts dramatically with an abstract base silhouette.
