British sterling silver salt dishes done in a magnificent figural sea shell motif, made by Charles Thomas Fox having a full set of London Hallmarks for 1829. Crested, on the underside, next to the Hallmarks, Manus Justa Decus with an armored raised fist haolding an arrow, each shell measures 4" in length and width and they weigh a combined 181 grams or 5.8 Troy ounces. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering. The soft, warm, original antique finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
