An enduring icon of Danish Modern design, this early example of PK22 lounge chairs was designed by Poul Kjaerholm and produced by E. Kold Christensen, the original manufacturer entrusted with bringing Kjaerholm's groundbreaking furniture to life. Introduced in 1956, the PK22 remains one of the most celebrated lounge chairs of the twentieth century, admired for its remarkable balance of sculptural elegance, structural innovation, and exceptional comfort. Each chair features its original black leather sling, beautifully tailored with the distinctive geometric stitched pattern found on early examples. The leather has developed a rich patina over decades of use, adding depth and authenticity while highlighting the quality of the natural material.
