Important French 60's glazed ceramic vase by Max Idlas (1932-2019). Signed. Born in Marseille in 1932, the self-taught Idlas opened his first pottery workshop in Montmartre, Paris in 1954. In 1964, he moved to Brittany, setting up his ceramic and painting workshop in a former charcoal factory. Connoisseurs often compare his glazes to those of the Cloutier brothers or Georges Jouve.
