Mid-Century Modern Brazilian Rosewood Dining Table & Chairs by Plycraft

Details

Crafted by Plycraft during the height of the American mid-century modern movement, this rare rosewood dining room set showcases the bold organic forms and luxurious materials that defined the era. The sculptural low-profile pedestal table and matching barrel chairs create a striking silhouette, while the floating glass top highlights the richness of the rosewood beneath, allowing the exceptional craftsmanship to remain the visual focal point. The Brazilian rosewood displays extraordinary figure, with rich espresso hues intertwined with warm amber undertones and dramatic swirling grain that changes character as the light shifts throughout the day. Coveted for its rarity and unmistakable beauty, Brazilian rosewood became one of the most celebrated materials of twentieth-century furniture design and remains highly sought after today. The four barrel chairs are beautifully sculpted from matching Brazilian rosewood and newly reupholstered in deep midnight navy Italian leather, providing comfort while complementing the warmth of the wood. The entire set has been professionally refinished to enhance the natural depth and movement of the grain without sacrificing its original character. The original Plycraft manufacturer's label remains intact, further confirming its authenticity. Known for producing distinctive modern furniture that balanced sculptural design with everyday functionality, Plycraft earned a reputation for quality craftsmanship and premium materials. This dining set is a remarkable example of that legacy, offering timeless design, exceptional construction, and some of the finest Brazilian rosewood grain available from the period.
