Mid-century modern rosewood armoire dresser by Intercontinental Design, Canada, 1970s. Crafted from exceptional Brazilian rosewood, this cabinet immediately draws attention with its spectacular bookmatched grain. The natural figuring flows continuously across the doors, creating a bold sculptural pattern that makes every panel unique. Chrome pulls provide a crisp modern accent, while the softly rounded case and raised gallery top give the cabinet a refined silhouette from every angle. Behind the doors are six spacious drawers paired with three shelves, offering a practical combination of concealed storage for clothing, barware, media, or office essentials. The cabinet sits on discreet casters, allowing it to be moved effortlessly while maintaining its elegant appearance. Preserved in great original condition, the rosewood has retained the rich color and depth that have made this species one of the most admired woods in furniture design. Intercontinental Design built its reputation on producing high-quality modern furniture using premium materials and thoughtful craftsmanship. Their rosewood pieces celebrated the wood's natural beauty, allowing its remarkable grain to become the defining feature of each design rather than relying on unnecessary embellishment. Brazilian rosewood has long been considered the pinnacle of mid-century furniture woods.
